March looks like it’s trying to bring sunshine, but Portland is a bit rainy right now. Hopefully with some friends visiting at the end of the month, the sun will come out and we’ll be able to finish this mural. Once that is done I will be presenting this mural to RACC and if the price is right (and the timing is good) we will premiere the KBOO Community Radio Mural Documentary. So much to do, so much to see, so many people to meet.

In April I will be showing work at Limelight Cafe in Sellwood. In July I will be showing work at Cricket Cafe on Belmont for First Friday. In August I will be showing work at Seven Planet in Northwest Portland for First Thursday. For this event, I will be painting a temporary mural outside of the store. This is the KBOO Community Radio website, phase 1 (illustration layout launched). Phase 2 will include an integrated, modular-based content design which will increase readership, listenership and membership.
Been busy finishing a mural for KBOO. Created some logos for their membership drive. Finished a poster for my friends Finn Riggins, soon opening for Built to Spill. Lost footage of The Big Picture film has been found and captured. NEW EVENT: 12.11.09 – The Big 100!!

On October 10th & 11th, 2009 over 50+ volunteers came out to help paint the KBOO Community Radio mural on 20 SE 8th St. in Portland, Oregon. This project was funded by the KBOO Foundation and the Regional Arts & Culture Council. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this come to life.

Also, The drawing portion of the mural has been complete, and now it is time for the black, painted lines to be put on the wall. I foresee a lot of on-the-fly changes as paint hits the cement wall.

Look around, I’ve integrated a really fun wordpress theme to present my new artwork. The artchives will come in the future, but the new work is the main focus now. Just have to go back and scan all of the illustrations I’ve created in 2009. Most of which were sketches for commissioned work. I really don’t do much personal sketching when I’m busy with work work. Oh well, more illustrations in the future!!!
