Why I Do This
Does a picture illustrate a book, or does a book illustrate a picture? That’s a tough question, and one many people don’t care to visualize. When the book starts illustrating the art, when life begins to illustrate your career, when the world has illustrated your path in life, you know you have found the secret. The subtle idea of working to be inspired, instead of waiting to be inspired to work. This is where illustration fits in my life so perfectly, because it is my catalyst for exploring the world. It calls out to my imagination and asks it to interpret what I see. So I draw, and I draw, and I draw, and I draw. Without fear of messing up, but with the confidence of listening to a voice that is trying to explain life to me… I just have to listen.

“Ghostshrimp is an independent organization. We are made up of Ghostscouts. We exist for two reasons of completely equal importance. One: We are inspired by others and we inspire others. Two: We pass our time doing the coolest things we can imagine.
The Secret Mission of Ghostshrimp is to live and work with enough forsight to be admired by our Ghostscout Great Grandchildren who will in turn embrace their own ideals and inspire others to do likewise.
ANYONE WHO STANDS IN OUR WAY WILL BE COMPLETELY AND EMBARASSINGLY DESTROYED BY THEIR OWN LACK OF VISION.” – Ghostscout Leader

I wasn’t born in a cool part of America, I wasn’t well behaved in school, I lasted one year in art school before realizing it wasn’t for me, I’ve traveled most of the United States, I’ve traveled to the Middle East and Europe, I’ve never won any big awards, and I don’t consider prize-based accomplishments to be of any worth. 100% dedicated to the cause, I am an artist at heart, and an illustrator by trade.
